Mike Henry graduated in 1974 from the Art Students Academy in Tulsa, Okla. Throughout his professional career, he has received national and regional awards in oils, pastels and watercolors. Mike’s work is included in many museums and private collections throughout the country. His current area of interest is plein air oil painting. Mike is both a professional artist and teacher. His teaching experience includes conducting many workshops in watercolor and oil as well as 19 years as art director at Cair-Paravel Latin School in Topeka, Kan. Highly recognized, artist, philosopher, and teacher, Mike Henry paints "en plein aire" meaning work done and inspired on location. His landscapes and animal portraits find the intimate core of his subject, choreographing a singular mood for the viewer.
