BiographyI grew up in Scottsdale after my parents migrated here from Indiana in 1981. I have always harbored wanderlust in my heart, as a kid my bedroom was decorated with world maps while my friends put up rock band posters. My continuing education further chased that passion when I attended Northern Arizona University and earned my B.S. in Geography/Cartography. I worked (languished, really) in sales after college for many years but made enough money to quit my job a week before my 30th birthday, throw some things into my Jeep, and travel around the country for four months. On a borrowed a laptop, I wrote a book about my adventure titled “Tales from the Scenic Route” – which I did not publish. After I returned home, I changed my career to “Freelance Writer” and found a job at my favorite community newspaper, Arcadia News, which I eventually purchased in 2002. I love taking pictures, especially shooting nighttime landscapes and cityscapes, but I really enjoy the art of light painting. I am striving to carve more time out for photography as I roll into my 50s. My full-time job is still publishing the monthly neighborhood newspaper, along with the exalted position as husband to a wonderful wife for 20 years and doting father of two teenage boys who are finding their way in the world. I am grateful for the relationship I have with the good people at Art One and am honored that they carry my photography. There is an incredible, uplifting feeling that comes with knowing my personal creations bring joy to others. Thank you!
