Mathialde Desrosiers was born in 1927 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and passed away. After Smith Duplessis Elementary and later St.Paul High School, he became a custom-house surveyor. He started to paint in 1953 in Foyer des Arts Plastiques. He took part in many Haitian art exhibits in foreign countries. Bronze Medal winner in National Art Exhibition, organized by Tourism Office in 1959, he exhibited with Haitian artists in Wing-Ding Festival of Chicago, in 1963, and at Expo '67.
