Warren Neary’s work primarily focuses on realistic impressions of the figure, landscapes and architecture.
“I love the grace and beauty of the figure and learning to capture the emotion filled moments in relationships we share with each other. I enjoy learning and being a student and son of a loving Father in Heaven and master creator. Scenes of subtle or dramatic light, color and design, especially the golden glow of the morning or late evening are a real treat. I take the opportunity to draw and paint from life often. Nature teaches wonderfully, and the experience is refreshing and peaceful.
After graduating from high school as the Art Sterling Scholar, he attended Utah State where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree on a two-year art scholarship. Although he was accepted into the Master of Fine Arts program, duty called and Warren accepted a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. Warren served for 8 years in the service of his country as an officer, and deployed in support of Operation Southern Watch to Eskan Village, Saudi Arabia, and Operation Enduring Freedom to Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After a long struggle, his passion for art conquered over his pursuit of a full time military career.
April, his wife and mother of four, provides the greatest support. She understands the demands on time and the effort required for his artwork. Currently Warren is pursuing an MFA at Academy Art University, painting and teaching fine art at a community college.
