The contemporary sculptures of Beatriz Gerenstein are known for focus on the human being. In a world where hatred, individualism, greed and war dominate, Gerenstein has chosen to talk of the human condition, about love, friendship, anguish, pleasure, joy, pain and spirituality. Her sculptures are an antidote to the violence and selfishness around us. Gerenstein works in bronze and stainless steel, but she does not hesitate to use other mediums in her sculptures, organic materials such as manila rope in her sculpture "The Gift" or 3D printed exotic wood unique pair of chair that she has on display at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale, 2016. Being virtually unknown 15 years ago, the strength, beauty and social content of her sculptures have opened the doors to Gerenstein to participate in very important biennials and major international art events. Gerenstein has exhibited her works in many counties and important art events. She is currently participating of the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale. She recently participated in the 56 Venice Biennale in the the exhibition "Time Space Existence" and the 12th Havana Biennial. Her work was exhibited at Shanghai Contemporary, Shanghai Art Fair, Art Shanghai, Guangzhou International Art Fair and Canton Art Fair in China as well as in Art Revolution Taipei and the the "Mandarin Oriental Hotel Art Exhibition", Hong Kong.
