Filia (pronunciation: Feeleea, meaning daughter in Latin). I live in St. Petersburg with my wife and son. I am originally from the Black Forrest in Germany (13-year expat) but a citizen of the world by heart. As a child, I was often left to explore the world around me and within me for many hours. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of all things sensory, especially texture. I have created art and painted ever since I was a child, it is in my blood and my true passion. While my background is scientific, the focus on motherhood and art gives me the utmost fulfillment, purpose, and solace. At the moment I enjoy working with acrylic paint and gold leaf. My process is organic, I see inspiration and deterrents in all that surrounds me. I am a highly sensitive person and no stimulus goes unnoticed, which is a blessing and a curse- art is the alchemy to bless the curse. I believe in contributing to the universal virtues of this life with our innate and developed gifts. There is untapped potential in a fulfilling existence for all. Of course, including a revolution against a system that tries to systematically oppress exactly this awareness and execution. This is what I do when I create when I love, and how I live.
