Rosanne Cerbo is a resident of Tuxedo, New York. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including Best in Show from the 2020 AIS Nationals Small Works Show. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, The Salmagundi Club, and a signature member of the American Impressionism Society and the Hudson Valley Art Association. After learning the Dumond Palette from Master John Osborne, she has exhibited her work across the country in countless galleries and private collections. Rosanne is inspired by all subjects, including portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and animals. Growing up, she was active in training and riding racehorses. Her passion for adventure is evident in her paintings today, and this remains one of the most striking characteristics of her work. She is deeply intrigued by Old Masters such as Anders Leonard Zorn, John Singer Sargent and Joaquín Sorolla. Rosanne is a humanitarian artist affiliated with Heart Galleries across the country, painting portraits of foster children in hopes of adoption. As a prolific artist, she paints at least one painting a day and regardless of weather, she ventures out with art buddies once or twice a week for her morning plein-air sessions. “Mother nature is the best teacher there is!,” she claims. “Something about the challenge of capturing the moment, dealing with light changes, bugs, and weather makes it all the more exciting.”
