The Haitian artist Telemaque Obin, son of the late famous Haitian painter Philome Obin, was born in 1915 in Cap-Haitian. After finishing high school in Prt-au-Prince, he returned to Cap-Haitien to study painting full-time with his father, Philome Obin. The two-dimensional and primitive style of the Cap-Haitian School characterizes his art.
