Michelle GordonInternal Landscapes in Oil I was introduced to painting by growing up next door to Philomene Bennett and Lou Marak In Kansas City Missouri. I have painted my “Internal landscapes” my entire life. The pictures unfold intuitively from the inside out without sketches, source material, or any preconception of the end result. Through layers of accrued oil paint, every mark on the canvas contributes to its total integration- the final picture. The paintings are left open-ended with space for the viewer to draw their own inferences from the architecture of their own private imaginative world.
