Prince George, British Columbia Erin stagg, a nationally awarded Metis artist from Prince George, BC, renowned for her landscape and wildlife paintings. Raised in Fort St. James, she draws inspiration from the forest, Dakleh culture, and small-town life. After studying botany and physical geography, Erin transitioned to a career in art in 2015, finding fulfillment in its transformative nature. Becoming a mother amplified Erin's connection to her Metis heritage. A descendant of Piche, Pitras, Tanner, Aubichon, her recent works celebrates both her roots and motherhood. In 2021, Erin's painting "Metis Pride" earned first place in the People's choice category at the Salt Spring National Art Prize. Erin's art graces private collections worldwide, including in the US, Italy, and the UK.
