Karma VancePrince George, British Columbia Karma Vance, an Abstract Impressionist, infuses movement and story into her art. Her unique style captures energy and emotion, even in still lives. With themes ranging from nature to figures, Karma's broad strokes and vibrant colors exude joy. As a studio artist and plein air enthusiast, she challenges conventional notions of "painting" to evoke light, movement, and emotion. She has been an artist and educator for 30years, and is a graduate of the Visual and Performing Arts in the Ed. faculty of UBC, Double ArtsMajor. Here she studied with professors such as Gordon Smith, Sam Black and JamesMcdonald and participated in many group exhibitions. Karma worked with James Macdonald,Professor Emeritus, at the Jericho School For the Blind devising an art program based onpersonal imagery for the visually impaired.
