Elise Thomason's work explores the relationships between the world we live in and the worlds we sense, but can’t perceive directly. She examines the life forms and landscapes we so often take for granted, and tries to conjure what their secret lives might reveal. Thomason began her career as an internationally award-winning graphic designer and illustrator, a career in which she designed the look of an Olympic Winter Games (Torino 2006) and created imaging and design systems for national and international clients such as Coca-Cola, Visa, Volkswagen, André 3000 of OutKast, The State of Georgia, The U.S. Virgin Islands, and many more. In recent years Thomason has integrated more fine art endeavors into her practice. In the summer of 2022, Thomason began to paint regularly, as a way to explore new artistic territory. She has participated in shows throughout the Southeast since 2022.
