Having spent her summers in Colorado and now living part-time here, Marcia has always been drawn to the mountains, the wide open spaces and all that lies within. She has lived in every Continental United States time zone at least twice but feels most at home in the West. There is something about being able to see vistas and distance that speaks to her.In Marcia’s words:Painting is simply a pleasure. I do not paint to make a statement but rather to bring the beauty of everyday scenes to light. We often overlook what we pass on a daily basis. This quote sums it up, “In The Right Light, At The Right Time, Everything Is Extraordinary.“ - Aaron RoseAs an artist I have a real “need” or “desire” to create. I have always felt this but even more since I survived cancer. This has inspired my “Survivor Series”. These paintings depict a life that has dealt with much but is still standing tall and surviving. They have a unique color palette. The three main colors represent the cancers I have lived through. Much like the structures in my series, I have a little more character but still standing strong.
