Javier Enrique Nunez "Jaike" completed his degree in Marketing and Publicity in 1987 in Lima Puru and studied under Peruvian teacher Enrique Polanco. Jaike integrates Jazz, movies and the art of primitive culture. Studying Jaike's paintings, one will see the influence of Picasso and feel the jazz of trupeter Thousands Davis. Jaike through his paintings investigates the esthetics of the Japanese theater meshed with the jazz of the 1950's (Chat Mingus, John Coltrane). These latest paintings "Pop Right Jazz" combine absolute liberty and fantasy, codes, symbols and images inspired in the American pop art of Andy Warholl, Roy Liechtenstein and Keith Harris.
