He currently serves as a Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic with the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue working a 24 hour shift following 48 hours off. It is during this off time that he works feverishly in his art studio at in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Tony has created art since he was seven years old. He has been doing commission work for over 25 years focusing on portraits in graphite, watercolor, charcoal, realism, abstract and murals for residential and commercial properties. Though his training centered on more traditional art disciplines, today his passion is abstract/ mixed- media. This passion has created an explosion of vivid colors juxtaposed with dramatic textures. By creating multiple layers, that encourages involvement and imagination amongst viewers. These layering effects that he has achieved are from many years of experimentation incorporating techniques that he has used in drawing, printmaking and sculpting.
