I was born of educated immigrant parents from Brazil in 1952. My art is a product of 12 years of classical piano studies, a 32 year MD Anesthesiology/ Trauma specialty medical career, and a later Masters in Fine Art Practice at the Glasgow School of Art. I passionately advocate many issues. I respect life and the importance of individuality, but also honor commonalities amongst our diversity as human beings. The powerful force and rhythm of life plays out to me in a very heart beat like fashion, often times with a metered musicality of play, of joy, of sadness, and of healing. The hues of nature are a constant reference to the array of emotional experiences we navigate in life. In works both large and ambitious and small and fragile, I explore the limitless possibilities of discover, enlightenment, renewal, and therapeutic healing through my work.
