Born and raised in New Rochelle, New York, Chris evolved her work over the past two decades in her private studio in Vienna, Virginia. Her minimal abstract compositions - inspired by her consumption and study of random words and writing, music and lyrics, and deep meditation - explore powerful memories, visceral experiences and personal authenticity. Reflective of her edgy compositions, she applies mixed media in often non-conventional ways giving rise to compelling negative spaces, line work and oil color.Chris’ work has produced a variety of series over the years, all with the common thread of providing evocative moments to her viewers. Her work can be found in both private and public collections, and she is currently represented by: Huff Harrington Fine Art in Atlanta, Georgia; Sozo Gallery in Charlotte North Carolina; The White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton, NY; Contemporain Fine Art Gallery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Gallery 1930, now Design Supply in Birmingham, Alabama.
