Marti Liddle-Lameti is an internationally recognized fiber and textile artist creating two-dimensional fiber paintings, as well as three-dimensional wearable art. Her work can be seen in private and public collections including Memorial Healthcare of Owosso.Marti was born in Detroit and studied art at Olivet College before transferring to Eastern Michigan University where she graduated with a BFA in Painting, Drawing, and Art History. She earned her MAT from Saginaw Valley State University in 2010. Marti began working in Fibers in the late 1980s and has displayed and sold her pieces in Art Galleries and Boutiques across the country under her company label ‘Martel Designs'. She currently resides and works in Owosso, Michigan after multiple cross-country moves, settled there with her family in 2000. Her current studio is on Sanford Lake near Midland, Michigan. She formally taught art and fashion design at Owosso High School and taught as an adjunct professor for Kendall College of Art and Design.
