Brooklyn NY-born, Allan Gorman is a realistic oil painter who brings his strengths as an internationally celebrated brand marketing consultant and graphic designer to artworks that certainly reflect his own unique and distinctive brand. Gorman’s artworks take viewers on a journey into the intricate shapes and designs found in architectural and industrial structures. Soaring towers of industry, chrome exhaust pipes, distorted reflections, a macro trip inside mechanisms and technology. Allan Gorman’s artworks have been exhibited in numerous museums, such as the Arnot Art Museum, Springfield Museum of Art, Lyman Allyn Art Museum, Albany Museum of Art, and The State Museum of New Jersey; and in commercial galleries, including Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts, Rehs Contemporary, Garvey|Simon New York, Nicole Longnecker Gallery in Houston and CK Contemporary in San Francisco. A multi-venue art museum exhibition, currently traveling throughout the US, is on view through 2025. A European exhibition—Galeria ArteLibre’s “20 Years in 20 x 20”—was shown at museums in Spain and Italy through 2022. And some of his work is to be included in the Hyp’Art Project—a survey of hyperrealism from its beginnings as an American phenomenon through today’s worldwide movement, with a book and exhibition planned for Brussels in 2024. Allan is a two time recipient of The New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship for Painting; resident fellowships at the Vermont Studio Center and ESKFF at Mana Contemporary, the John Collins Award for Oil Painting and the Salmagundi Award from the American Artist’s Professional League, and the Pioneer of Realism award from the International Guild of Realism. He was also selected as one of the 100 Grandmasters of Realist Art by the Salon Des Beaux Arts. His paintings are included in many permanent corporate and private collections. Allan Gorman currently maintains a studio practice at Mana Contemporary, Jersey City, NJ, and resides in West Orange, NJ.
