Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he attended Mansfield University. After completing his B. A. in Education, he attended The Instituto Allende San Miguel, Mexico, where he received a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Jewelry and Sculpture. His Artistic career has taken many paths, including Teacher, Designer, and Gallery Owner. His paintings, pottery, sculpture, and award-winning jewelry are in private and corporate collections across the U.S. and several countries. His work has always been recognized for its composition, new-world imagery, and sensual textures. Throughout his career, his 2-dimensional paintings were in acrylic and watercolor wash on textured hand-made papers. This of course had limitations of glass and frames. Over the last 2 decades, he developed an oil wash and acrylic wash technique on textured canvas. This allows larger, sometimes shaped, and more 3-dimensional paintings with very special surfaces. Like layers of stained glass special attention to the surface texture make his work unique.
