Tracey-Mae Chambers is a sculptor based in Ontario, Canada. Her encaustic vessel sculptures are created using melted beeswax which is made more resilient by the addition of Damar resin (tree sap). Pigment is added to provide color. Each one has the light scent of beeswax.
“Hollow. Buoyant. Full. Satiated. Absolute. Collapse. Ruin. Void. An empty vessel embarks on a journey, becomes saturated with thoughts, visions, feelings and convictions, only to fade into obscurity. All living beings are vessels. Life runs through the veins of leaves as it does mammals. We are all connected. We are a collective. We are vessels..” Tracey-Mae Chambers
