ARTIST STATEMENTAs a solitary glass artist living and working in Lexington Michigan, I feel blessed to have the opportunity to do what I do. Immediately after graduating from the College for Creative Studies I embarked on the mission to build my own glass studio. Living here most of my life I feel a strong connection to nature and most influential is Lake Huron, whose waves I hear beating the shoreline as I walk home late at night. The characteristics of the glass best relate me to the life cycle of spontaneous creation. In a short time the glass goes form a molten liquid to a solid in just the same way as I observe the expanse of water through the seasons. I'm proud to state that this is my lifestyle.SELECTED EXHIBITIONS2015 Water Street Gallery, Douglas, MI2009-2008 SOFA Chicago2008 Next Step Gallery, Spring Happening2007 Detroit Artist Market, Summer Ceramic Market2007 Next Step Gallery , Spring Happening2007 SOFA Chicago2006-Present Lansing Art Gallery2006 Scarab Club, Bugs, Blooms, Beasts2005-Present Spun Gallery, Resident ArtistEDUCATION2008-Present Owner Spun Hot Glass Studio2007 BFA College for Creative Studies2005-Present Owner Spun Gallery2000-Present Owner Spun Clay Studio2006 Internship at Furness Design Studio2002-2005 Michigan Hot Glass Workshop
