Leo Mancini-Hresko is a prolific artist who creates painterly, dynamic work with bold, rich use of medium and effects of light and shade. In the tradition of the Impressionists, after classical training he chose to work in a broad, urgent style full of evident brushwork and layering, even when rendering sensitive subjects. Mancini-Hresko is a Boston native who lived in Florence from 2000-2011 attending and teaching at the Florence Academy of Art. He now works and teaches classes out of his studio in Waltham, MA. He has exhibited his work widely in the US and abroad for over 10 years. His work is represented in both private and public collections, most notably in the New Britain Museum of American Art.
