Catherine Haggarty b. 1984 received her M.F.A from Mason Gross, Rutgers University in 2011 and lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Haggarty joined the artist run curatorial collective, Ortega y Gasset Projects in 2016 as a co-director. Haggarty, who has shown both nationally and internationally for a decade, is the recipient of the ESKFF Emerging Artist Grant and Residency, DNA Gallery Residency, Vermont Studio Center Residency and most recently, The Look e Listen Residency in Marsielle France (2017). Her work has been reviewed in Hyperallergic and Two Coats of Paint. Her curatorial work and writing includes Curating Contemporary, The Curator, Ortega y Gasset Projects, White Box and Proto Gallery. Teaching experience includes but is not limited to Rutgers University, Princeton Day School, Philadelphia Mural Arts and One River School of Art and Design.
