Artist Statement:I have set the intention to be open to sensing what is lovely around me and the intuitive impulses that seem to come from outside myself and to combine these into accessibly beautiful well-orchestrated compositions. The human and timeless quality of my work invites the viewer to create their own sensitive response and narrative. Each painting is emotive and an exploration of visual designs that are seeking a compelling tension. It is my sincere hope that the viewer can feel through the quiet intensity of each piece that I am painting what I find most beautiful. I believe that is the most any of us has to offer, our most authentic selves and an invitation for connection.Biography:Ann Moeller Steverson is an oil painter known for her mood filled figures, portraits, and still-lifes.
