Paul Gagner is a painter and sculptor living and working in Brooklyn, New York. He has shown in numerous group shows in New York, most recently at Driscoll Babcock, and has work in the print archive’s permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He received his M.F.A. in painting and sculpture from Brooklyn College and his B.F.A. in illustration from the School of Visual Arts, both in New York. Gagner makes a blithe commentary about the history of art, juxtaposing references to monumental art movements and intellectual milestones with the unpretentious setting of a diner or the pool table of the local dive.
