Miguel Peidro was born in 1950 in Alcoy, Alicante, Spain. He received artistic training at a private studio alongside well-known Spanish painters such as Vincente Moya, Alex Alemany, and Juan Ferri. Showing extensively throughout Spain, Japan, Portugal, China, and the US, Peidro is well known and loved for his signature style of realism.
Peidro holds a special sensibility towards nature that resonates through paintings that are luminous, tranquil, and evoke nature's grandeur. His choice of the panoramic format accentuates and invites the viewer to partake in the artists's vision. Upon viewing Peidro's landscapes, one cannot help but get caught in the quiet and meditative portrayals of nature. Light reflecting on water and other surfaces is a mysterious phenomenon to Peidro, which he explores with intrigue and vigor. The water not only reflects the light, but the vitality of the natural world that Peidro admires.
Peidro's attraction to the force of nature is indisputable. His admiration for both painting and nature translates eloquently onto canvas through use of precise brushstrokes and multiple layers of paint. "My passion for both painting and nature are mixed within myself. This is the reason I paint landscapes. I find much inspiration in taking nature walks during my travels throughout Europe...I just paint what I like," Peidro shares.
