Ilana Engel attended Pratt Institute from 2006-2010. Her studies focused on design, illustration and printmaking. Much of her current work is influenced by the underground metal and punk scene where she visually represents the themes, beat, grittiness and even the aesthetic pleasure that hearing and feeling music can trigger. Her illustration style varies but her work is inspired by certain themes: music, nature, religious iconography and myth. She specializes in graphic design and her work graces album covers and posters and can also be found in the branding and logo development and design for small businesses and restaurants.
